Martina Tomić (1983, Zagreb). Her dance education started in Zagreb Youth Theatre and continued with various contemporary dance workshops in Croatia and abroad. She participates in many dance productions and performances with various choreographers, ensembles and independent productions. She works as a dancer and a pedagogue in the field of contemporary dance and also as an author through collective artistic organization Genijator and Tras studio. Martina is a certified yoga teacher (200th hours Yoga Teacher Training) and has been practicing and teaching yoga for several years and DNS practitioner. From 2011 she is a member of Studio Contemporary Dance Company(SSP). She graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts, Department of contemporary dance with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Pedagogy. In the period from 2018 till 2020, she was the president of Croatian Dancers Association (UPUH)
In 2019, together with Ana Kritmeyer, Ivana Pavlović and Petra Chelfi, she received the Croatian Dance Association Award for Best Performance (as a whole) for “Sve četiri za jedno. Na rubu dodira i kaosa.”
2024. she received the same award for the performance “plesna predstava”, in collaboration with Marta Krešić.
She works as a dance pedagogue with all ages in the field of contemporary dance and holds workshops around Croatia. She was teaching at the Latvian Academy of Culture, dance department, Beograd Institu za umetničku igru and she was a guest teacher on Summer China Dance Camp.
In 2024. she becomes artistic director of Studio Contemporary Dance Company.
