Branko Banković (1969, Zagreb) has graduated from the School for Fine  Art and Design 1988. He has been studying  dance in  Studio Contemporary Dance Company , Montpellier’s Summer Academy – Matilde Monier, attending numerous dance seminars and workshops in Zagreb and abroad.

In 1984 he became a permanent member of the Studio Contemporary Dance Company, attended workshops and participated in his overall production, working with many choreographers, directors and pedagogues.

Dance co-operation is also realized with ensembles : ZPA, LINKT, KASP, HNK Zagreb, Tala, Tagram dance Paris, INK-Pula, Lanon Imperial Barcelona SLS-Sarajevo, SARTR Sarajevo, VEM, De Not.

He has danced in many drama and music performances in ZKM, HNK, GK Komedija, DK Gavele, GK Trešnja, GK Žar ptica.

In 2004 he was awarded the NHG -National Theatre Award – Contemporary Dance, the best achievement of male role and in the 2014 UPUH / PULS Professional Award for 30 Years of Artistic Work.

As a choreographer he works in the theaters:  SARTR Sarajevo, National Theater of Sarajevo, SLS-Sarajevo, the Children’s Theater IBM Slavonski brod

He works as a dance pedagogue and choreographer for children and young people and he has a great number of collaborations in this field.
